FRANCO BERALDO - Contemporary Italian Artist
Franco Beraldo was born in 1944 in Meolo, a small town in the Venetian countryside.
As a child he moved with his family to Mestre, where he currently lives and works.
He was strongly influenced by his meeting with the painter Guido Carrer and by his journeys in Southern Italy, above all by his long stays in Sicily, which were fundamental for his artistic path.
He became a professional painter in 1965, taking part to contests, shows, personal and group exhibitions, receiving numerous awards and recognitions, among which the first prize he won for his painting at the Burano Award in 1981.
